Bladder micro leak or small tear
What ?
A bladder micro leak or a small hole (e.g. thorn) or start of hernia (max size 1 euro coin)
How ?
Separate your struts bladders and leading edge bladder using the one-pump clips to identify which bladder is leaking.
If you suspect a micro-leak, inflate your sail.
Spray the bladder with soapy water.
Extract the leaking bladder, dry it and degrease it using an alcohol patch provided.
Dry as much as possible.
Cut out a piece of the special blue pudding patch , if possible round the edges with scissors.
If it is the beginning of a hernia, place a piece of thin plastic inside the tear, so as not to stick the two sides of your bladder (cling film, transparent packaging, just recycle!).
Tip : inflate your bladder by gradually inflating it, if necessary, use talcum powder.
No go!
A larger tear on your leading edge requires welding or bladder replacement. A defective valve must be replaced and cannot be repaired with the repair kit.
